Jim is a prominent teacher, performer and repairman in and around the greater Seattle area.Having played the violin from a very young age he began looking for an instrument that would sound more like a full orchestra and his father's accordion was the answer.At age 13 the accordion recieved all of Jim's musical attention which lead him into teaching the accordion for 21 years.Retired from teaching, Jim took up a sales career which allowed him to also persue his hobbies; sailing and hiking.Retiring from his sales career, Jim is teaching once again as well as his position of accordion technician and salesman for Petosa Accordions in Seattle. His judging skills have been honed by his long time association with many of the great teachers of the pacific northwest as well as his membership in the Northwest Accordion Teachers Association.Jim currently performs in the Seattle area and is very active in the Northwest Accordion Society. We are excited to have Mr. Tobler back with us for his second year of adjudicating and look forward to his continued support and enthusiasm.
