Tyler Boeh
Tyler Boeh is professionally funny. His fresh comedy style exposes his life as a bus-riding urbanite with friends that are way too into hip-hop. He tries hard to be hip, but just can't get it right. He is still suffering from an inability to defend himself as a child: “You remember the 98 pound weakling when you were a kid? Well that's the guy that used to kick my butt.”
But being an underdog with a lazy eye as a kid has been perfect fodder for his comedy. He started performing stand-up in Portland, OR and he proved himself as a young but formidable comedian by taking 2nd place in the Portland Comedy Competition and winning the Oregon International Comedy Competition just a few short months into his comedy career with his fast paced, shotgun delivery.
And he is making his mark. Tyler's recently released and highly touted CD, "Carpool Companion" is a favorite on Sirius radio and Pandora and is often featured on Five O'clock Funnies. It can be found on ITunes and all the other popular download sites. He also just completed work on two television pilots and performs on and is a host for ComedyTime..
Performing from coast to coast, Boeh was a finalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. Shortly following the competition, he was featured in an article in Horizon Air Magazine about how comedians don't have to move away from the North West to have a successful career in comedy.
By the time the article was published, he had already moved away. to Boston. where he quickly became a favorite on the Boston scene, and continued to work the road and participate in comedy festivals. He took third place in the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition and was also a semi-finalist twice in the Boston Comedy Festival. He has been featured on NESN's Comedy All-Stars and Comcast Comedy Spotlight. When Tyler had had enough of New England, he made the cross-country move and rapidly established himself at the top clubs in Hollywood.
His comedy has been described as high-energy, intelligent, physical, and silly with a balance of west coast charm and east coast attitude. His quick wit and celebrated “beatboxing” bring audiences to hysterical heights. He performs across the country from Portland, OR to Portland, ME, in colleges, clubs, theaters and privates events, but whether he is on the small stage of an intimate comedy club or a large theater, Tyler is comfortable, confident, and hilarious.
