BF Jones is a versatile 5 to 6-piece funk/Urban R&B band from CA. Driven by rich, powerful vocals and an incredibly tight rhythm section, the band seamlessly combines varied styles and instrumentation to create an impressive and eclectic mix of tunes, both classic and obscure, from the 60s to the present. BF Jones is comprised of six talented musicians from the Orange County, CA area. The music we make is a nod to the influences that helped shape us all as musicians. The members of the band come from a diverse background and experience in music, from heavy metal to downtempo, trip-hop, to acid jazz. We perform songs by artists like, Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, Steely Dan, to more modern groups like Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu, and others. From this well of musical experience springs forth originality in arrangements, interpretation and performance that breathes new life into songs that you may have heard as they are resurrected with energy, vitality, and soul!
