Five South, Orange County's most wildly immature over-40 bar/wedding band, was formed with the idea of covering popular songs and a variety of classic rock favorites that the band could add their own touches to and create a distinctive original sound. The group has evolved the songs to include their own distinctive guitar tones, unique vocal harmonies, and original mash-ups like Mustang Sally/Forget You by Cee Lo Green. This has created a demand for the band to perform regularly to standing room only crowds in venues ranging from local clubs to outdoor arenas. Originating in Southern California, the members of the band are heavily influenced by pop and classic rock groups of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. These influences include Journey, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Stone Temple Pilots, Matchbox Twenty, Green Day, and The Cure among others.
