PleaZure Showband has dazzled audiences both San Diego and abroad and is known for their dance music covering every era. They most recently were the featured opening act for Earth Wind and Fire, Gladys Knight, Patty Labelle, Al Green, Smokey Robinson, Natalie Cole, The Temptations and The Jacksons for the past 5 years at Harrah's Rincon Casino during their outside summer concert series with guest jumping to their feet to dance to todays hits, standards and yesterdays dance favorites. Be prepared cause when the PleaZure Band takes the stage everyone will be dancing.

Originating out of San Diego, PleaZure Showband delivers an exciting and funky level of musical entertainment. This 7-10 piece show band provides music that will appeal to any audience young and old, Covering all ranges of musical styles their forte is "Bringing Back the Funk", playing Old School Treasures from the 70's when music and lyrics were wholesome, pure and funky.

Setting PleaZure Showband apart from other bands is their unique blend of musicians with Gospel roots. To the music lover you can't help but hear and feel a distinct groove and the fusion of Jazz and R&B Funk. PleaZure Showband's soulful vocals deliver their own unique and charismatic presence on stage at all times.

PleaZure Band Members and Bios:

Calvin L. Boyd-Band Leader Bass Guitar/Vocals San Diego
started playing bass professionally at the age of 15 grew up in the 70's played with Sly and the Family Stones ex-member saxaphonest Jerry Martini and he also has stong gospel roots touring with recording artist Kirk Franklin, John P. Kee, Yolanda Adams to name a few.

Piete Miller-Keyboards/Vocals Fullerton
is multi-talented and has played with such artist as The Gap Band, Tower of Power, Chaka Khan to name a few again another product of the 70's.

Scott Pistol-Drums/percussion/Vocals Fullerton
has played with the great Brenton Woods and Charles Wright

Eddie Blando-Lead Guitar
started playing at an early age and developed his style and charisma to an astonishing level of excellence.

Leonard Luna-Trombone/Vocals
is a monster trombone player and has played for the band "Malo" his playing and solo' are always tasteful and will keep you in amazement, he is the horn section leader and will huddle up the horns on stage during a performance and produce some outstanding horn lines he is truly a great player.

Troy Netters-Sax/Lead Vocals
started at a young age taught by his father Troy always brings a nice easy listening sax solo that is soothing and saxy to the ears. He is also a great section player, his vocal skills are as skillful as the late Luther Vandross.

Les Kepics-Trumpet
is the person who plays the taps at the Del Mar Race track during the horse racing season for the past 13 yrs and a very charismatic player.

Angela Petty-Lead Vocals
this songbird will amaze you with her incredible talent and is featured doing her rendition of the late Whitney Houston.

Laticia Carington-Lead Vocals
move over because Chaka Khan is in the house and you will see that the lovely Laticia has that amazing and powerful voice of her favorite singer, she also does a Chaka Tribute.

Greg Lester-Lead Vocals
has sung with the ledgendary Temptations and has played Las Vegas for the past 20 years and brings exciting stage presence to the stage he is truly a born enterainer.

The band also does a Tribute to Earth Wind and Fire, Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston and James Brown and the band is so versital we can do just about anything that will make your event remembered by all.
