Elli Fordyce, the consummate vocal jazz artist, has run the gamut - from clubs, to resorts, to hotels, to cruise ships. She has fronted groups, emceed and done concerts in addition to big-band and combo work. Her mellow sounds have taken her all over the world, winning her raves and converts too numerous to mention. In a world where there is an abundance of musical pretenders, Elli is the real thing. Recently, she has been gigging in leading New York City venues, including legendary Town Hall and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. She augments her jazz performing by studying cabaret with the celebrated Lina Koutrakos, bebop with Barry Harris and improvising with Connie Crothers. She does voice-over work, acts in commercials and participates in a weekly performance workshop conducted by E. Katherine Kerr.
