Musically, Kanan Road both polished and expanded their approach, retaining their majestic, natural, uplifting sound a postmodern mid-tempo, “California Country” style with southern rock tinged guitars and the electrifying rare blend of three part vocal harmonies. “Southern Californian”, an up-tempo anthem geared towards the rapid growth of Country music fans living in California who are caught in the classification of “Country music only resides in the Southern United States”. “Chasing A Memory”, sprang to life one magical morning and stands as an emotional highlight, going from the widescreen positive truth of Kanan's family with the remembrance and urge of the memories in which he came from.
