John Russo is a New York city-based singer/songwriter who delivers an engaging, energetic and uplifting performance. This versatile pop-rocker is available as a duo or trio for clubs, cafes, corporate events, weddings and other interesting functions. The band's powerful sound and keen song selection can turn a group of listeners into a crowd of dancers without hesitation. On the other hand, if it's a relaxing atmosphere that you might request, then just sit back enjoy a few sets of mellowness like that of an intimate cafe or coffeehouse setting. The group is tight utilizing today's technology and the trio sounds like a large multi-piece band with a very extensive song repertoire. Currently, they are performing songs from Marc Anthony, Barry White, Kool & The Gang, The Beatles, an Morrison, Al Jarreau, James Blunt , Sinatra, The Commodores, James Taylor, Billy Joel, just to name a few. The group has two CD's of originals songs that they perform as well.

Bio:
John first became interested in music as a 4th grader, playing the recorder in primary school out on Long Island. He then joined the junior and high school bands. After graduating college, he played saxophone and sang with a touring show band. He attended Boston's, Berklee College of Music and graduated with a bachelor's of music. After receiving his masters, from New York University, John began performing covers and his originals in clubs, cafes and colleges throughout the northeast. He has two CD's out to date. "Two Weeks From Tuesday", and "Come On With Me", which have received large national and Canadian airplay.
