A night of swinging sophistication is in store for you with jazz singer Hilary Harris. She and her band cover everything from the Great American Songbook to Brazilian Sambas. Hilary's swinging vocal style and soothing voice, backed by a first rate band make for great jazz and big fun. From a duo to a big band, Hilary customizes her show to fit the mood of the event. While Hilary is perfectly content to use her lush vocals to provide incidental "mood music" to provide the backdrop for a sophisticated event or a nice dinner, she and the band know when to step it up at just the right time. Somebody once described her sound as a "combination of Julie London, Ella, and Sarah Vaughn - with a little Dusty Springfield top." One listener said, "Hilary knows what goes well in any situation. Since moving to Seattle from Spokane, Washington in 1990, Hilary has performed in many settings such as restaurants, clubs, at private parties, weddings, on cruise ships, festivals, performing the national anthem at sporting events. She does session work and voiceovers. She performs often in the Seattle area at venues such as the Crowne Plaza Hotel Regatta Grille, Kallaloo Restaurant, Bilbao Tapas Restaurant, Verrazano's, Coffee To a Tea, The Columbia City Beatwalk, The North City Bistro and Wine Shop, Jubilante, Grazie Ristorante, The Pyramid Alehouse, Bad Albert's, and other establishments. She performs at many golf & country clubs and banquet venues for private and corporate events, performing for clients such as Northwest Airlines, Boeing, Port of Seattle, Tully's Coffee, Itron, Emerald Downs, Hagadone Corporation, the City of Seattle, and the like.

One of her favorite types of gigs is performing for seniors at Assisted Living centers, as the songs of the 1920's - '50's are Hilary's first love. She said, "I love hearing stories of growing up during the time when those songs were popular. It is so much fun to see a person's face light up when you start singing their favorite song from back in the day. Nothing like it." In addition to the jazz vocals the is most known for, she performs a variety of other styles (rock, disco, oldies, R & B, pop, country). She is also classically trained, and is a ceremony singer (weddings / funerals). She also sings in caroling groups during the holidays.
