Catskill Stompers
A swing band, with some Dixieland emphasis, specializing in the jazz and popular music of the 1920s, '30s, and '40s and riding the crest of the new retro-swing craze. Featuring the great Al Gallodoro, who led the Paul Whiteman reed section from 1936 on. The band has evolved from its mid-1970s Dixieland jazz identity (thus the name Catskill Stompers) into a highly versatile swing/jazz/dance organization.
