In the spring of 2001, the Chad Lawson Trio was born. With Lawson on piano, Zack Page on bass, and Al Sergel on drums, this unique combination of talented and spiritual musicians has enjoyed a very special connection between jazz music and spirituality. The piano trio in jazz music is as much a tradition as the art form of jazz music itself. Whether it is Enroll Garner, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Chick Corea, or Keith Jarrett - there is plenty of music to be made by this combination of piano, bass, and drums. The Chad Lawson Trio is a group that follows in this tradition with one foot in the past and one foot in the future!

Chad Lawson studied at Berklee College of Music. His debut release was hailed as,"one of the favorites of the year", by the Gavin report. The album charted nationally and had rotation on over 300 stations. Chad has studied with Donald Brown, Fred Hersch, and Laszio Gardony.
