Cheryl Serio
Cheryl Serio has been delighting audiences around the country for over a decade. Now, the vivaciousness of her live shows is captured on her debut recording, Dames, on Me-Wow! Records. Dames is a salute to the sexy, sassy dames in film. Think Rita Hayworth in Gilda. Think Gwen Verdon in Dawn Yankees! Think Ann-Margret in Bye-Bye Birdie. Packed with hot players and tight arrangements, Dames lets Cheryl strut her vocal stuff over a colorful variety of styles. Tunes include the bass trombone stomp of "Shaking the Blues Away," the breezy bongo-swing of "The Good Life," and her very own interpretation of "Lady Is A Tramp"
Cheryl plays throughout the Puget Sound Area. This summer she was part of the Out to Lunch Concert Series, The Sounds on the Sounds Concert Series and the University Village Concert Series. Cheryl has also sung in such Seattle venues as the Pink Door, the Baltic Room, 2218, Tini Bigs and Cavanaugh's. She has also played for many events sponsored by such companies as Nordstroms, Amtrak, Seattle Art Museum, Cirque du Soliel, Seattle Rep, Microsoft and the City of Seattle.
