Greg Diamond Band
“Greg is an up and coming player with much taste and a great feel. Look forward to hearing him” Jack Wilkins. Greg Diamond is quickly emerging in the New York jazz scene as a bandleader and sideman. He has played in well known venues such as The Knitting Factory, Kavehaz, Zinc Bar, Tribeca Rock Club, The C-Note, Club Seho, Rockwood Music Hall, and many others. At the age of 28 Greg has already been around the world, and has lived in Paris, France as well as Bogotá, Colombia for extended periods of time. Throughout his brief career Greg has already collaborated with such artists as: Rolando Briceño, Ernesto Simpson, Sonny Murray, Milton Sealy, Bill Goodwin, Luis Perdomo, Ray Parker, John Ray, Jeb Patton, Manny Duran, and many others. Greg teaches rigorously throughout the New York metropolitan area, and he is also involved actively as a clinician for the jazz project - a jazz outreach program organized by the Colden Center For The Performing Arts in Flushing, NY. Outside of the jazz medium, Greg also participated recently in “tilt”, a notes in motion dance production performed at john jay college in Manhattan. He composed and directed the music for a segment entitled “impressions”. Greg is currently pursuing a master's degree in jazz performance at the Aaron Copeland school of music at Queens College (city university of New York). He studies at this time with Paul Bollenback, Antonio Hart, And Michael Mossman. Greg has also been fortunate to have studied in the past with Roland Hanna, Jack Wilkins, Peter Bernstein, Billy Bauer, and And Wayne Krantz.
