Riders Of The Purple Sage
Since 1936, the Riders Of The Purple Sage have been an important part of our American and western music heritage. Their signature playing style and trademark harmonies are a major influence in contemporary country and pop music. Musicians such as Jerry Garcia, Riders In The Sky, and New Riders Of The Purple Sage sight them as major influences. The band was one of the first to have major hits with "Ghost Riders In The Sky", "Don't Fence Me In" and "Blue Shadows On The Trail" as well as many other million sellers. They have broadcast on NBC and ABC and appeared in many classic Republic pictures with Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Monte Hale and a host of others. Original founding member Buck Page fronts the band which consists of some of the finest western entertainers on the scene today.
