My name is Ned Rifken and for the last 12 years (over 2,000 shows) I've been a guest headliner performing as the Ambassador of Swing for several Cruise Lines internationally along with shows in the Los Angeles area. On land I've performed at hundreds of major events and celebrations and am known for my vast musical library which encompasses the best of the "Great American Songbook. Recently I've moved from Los Angeles to Santa Rosa and would like to perform here in the Bay Area within a 500 mile radius.

I've performed a well-received tribute to Sinatra at the Sands at the prestigious "Typhoon at the Santa Monica Airport" to great acclaim. We recreated the entire classic album from 1966 with a live 17-piece band. My performances are not an imitation of any particular artist, but rather a celebration of the music of the classic Las Vegas era. I own a musical library of over 1,000 charts covering all facets of Big Band and the Rat Pack style of music, including instrumentals.

It's been my honor to perform with well-known Hollywood studio musicians who have played with Brian Setzer, The Manhattan Transfer, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Henry Mancini, Nelson Riddle, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Barry Manilow, Rod Stewart, just to name a few!

In Los Angeles I've performed with the following bands:

Randy Van Horne's Alumni Association, Johnny Vana's Alumni Band, Horace Heidt and his Musical Knights, Bill Webster's Unabridged Big Band, Tim Davies Big Band, Geo Valle's Swing City, Paul McDonald's Big Band, Rex Merriweather's Not Your Father's Big Band, and The Bob Noval Orchestra.

Paul McDonald’s renowned Big Band and the Ambassador of Swing, Ned Rifken, present an incredible musical tribute to Frank Sinatra's first live album, performed in April 1966 with Count Basie: Sinatra at the Sands. The show contains the actual musical arrangements of Nelson Riddle, Billy Byers, Quincy Jones and others.

The original 1966 album Sinatra at the Sands has been described as ‘brilliant’, ‘incredibly exciting’, ‘the definitive portrait of Sinatra in the ’60’s’, ‘essential’, ‘a priceless document’ and ‘simply the best’. 2016 marks the 50th Anniversary of this legendary album.

Accompanied by what is considered one of the greatest All-Star Big Bands in Los Angeles, International Headline Entertainer Ned Rifken sings all the wonderful songs from this sensational recording of Sinatra in his prime. The band brings to life the classic Basie instrumentals while Ned has proven that he is one of the best in the world at Sinatra-inspired singing, and as an entertainer in his own right.
