Santa Mike
A Personal Note from “Santa” Mike
My name is Mike Hadrych I want to tell you a little about myself, since you are considering me to appear as Santa Claus at your next special event.
It was Christmas 2009 when I first donned the red and white uniform of Santa Claus. A friend of mine who was scheduled to appear as Santa at an assisted living facility became ill and asked if I would fill in for him. It was fun getting dressed up as Santa, and I knew I would enjoy my first, and probably last, foray into acting since high school. However, when I walked in that room and was greeted with happy cries of “Santa!” from the residents and staff and gasps of pure happiness from their grandchildren, I was hooked.
Since, then I have sought out every opportunity I could to bring back the enchantment of childhood to the aging and the special joy and wonder in children only Santa can bring. It has brought back that enchantment and joy to me as well.
I have appeared as Santa at:
•
A lunch for disabled and special needs children
•
Children’s play areas where I was able to interact and played games with the children
•
Private homes for Christmas parties
•
Schools – both public and private
•
Day care facilities
•
Church Christmas programs
•
Company Holiday Parties
I would welcome the opportunity to make your next party a special event, one that your guests will remember for years to come. I thank you for your consideration.
