|The Casuals|  professionalism, excellence, and… fun!

From the setup crew to the singers, every band member is there for one reason--they love being part of the band. You'll hear their passion for music coming through in their performance. At every party where the Casuals play, the band leaves the audience begging for more.

Rob Porcaro is the lead male vocal for
The Casuals. Originally from Canada, Rob found his way to Seattle when touring with an earlier band; he loved it so much he decided to stay. (One of those earlier bands, Thin Red Line, achieved renown opening for such acts as Heart, Tower of Power, Bachman Turner Overdrive and Van Halen.) Rob started entertaining at the tender age of 8 in the style of Al Jolsen and Eddie Canter. Today Rob's rich, wide-ranging baritone is the perfect focal point for the band.

Cristi Carlisle

Do you appreciate vocal divas like Aretha Franklin and Anita Baker? Then Cristi's vocal power will have you burning up the dance floor. Her warm personality and soulful soprano are the perfect complement to the band's mellow tones. Like Rob, Christi has been singing throughout her life. One of her favorite memories is singing the great '60s soul music along with the other members of her very musical family. Christi has fronted a number of bands, including a very popular dance band in South Africa. The Instrumentalists

The founder, guitarist, and driving force behind
The Casuals is Rick Bakken. To orchestrate the technical side of the band's music, Rick has enlisted John Austin, a professional sound veteran for more than 20 years who has worked on the road with many famous names. John's expertise and the bandıs use of a state of the art equipment means you get great sound at a comfortable volume level.

For each band member, music is a deep and heartfelt part of life. Some members are local music professionals, while for others music is an avocation balanced with various occupations. You might meet them in their various roles as owner of a commercial painting company, district manager for a food service company, manager of a product group at Microsoft, and owner of a graphic design studio-people who could be your neighbor, coworker or friend. Along with being great performers, they're genuinely great people, who love to play music.

The Casuals look forward to being the entertainment choice for your next event.
